There is something seriously lacking in the world of entertainment. It seems impossible to relax and enjoy a good movie or game without compromising in one of two areas:
- Cleanness. The entertainment may be high in quality, but our eyes and ears will be on edge from offensive images and language.
- Quality. The entertainment may be clean, but we must endure cheesy storytelling, subpar acting, and forced, sermon-esque messages that accomplish little but preach to the choir of Christian audiences.
What we need is more clean, quality entertainment.
Now, we realize this is a tall order. No one ever sets out to create a cheesy, subpar movie. We’re not better than anyone else because we’re trying to avoid it, too!
That being said, we have a different goal than most clean entertainment studios. We’re not aiming strictly for the Christian market. We don’t want to make “Christian” movies, in the traditional sense. Rather, our entertainment is for anyone who wants quality stories with a conscience.
This is our promise to you: Our stories will have meaning and purpose, but we won’t preach at you. Our stories will sometimes go to dark and gritty places, but we won’t glorify the darkness, and we won’t linger there without cause.
Our deep-set desire is to create movies and games that will not require their audiences to compromise.
Who We Are
We’re the da Silva family; or in other words, a group of siblings who were homeschooled in Northern Virginia. After making home videos together for years, we decided we wanted to continue professionally – and the dream of Avolation Media was born.

What We Do
In addition to our role as an entertainment studio, we function part-time as a creative firm, offering services in video production/editing and motion graphic animation. See our portfolio, or contact us if you’d like to learn more.
We focus on projects that are informational, educational, and inspirational. We love to help other people, businesses, and organizations tell their stories.
Why Hire Us?
If you identify with our mission – if you’d like to see more clean, quality entertainment brought into the world – then hiring us offers you the opportunity to invest directly into that vision. The money we make through freelance creative projects goes into making movies, games, and other meaningful entertainment.
What’s In The Name?
“Avolation” is an obsolete English word meaning “flight; the act of flying.”
It also sounds cool.
But, every name needs an actual purpose, so we assigned this verse to it… I mean, we totally found the verse first, and the name came after. That’s how people do this naming thing, right?
“Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:30-31, NIV
As for “Media,” we didn’t want to limit our title to something like “Productions” or “Cinema,” because our vision is broader than just movies. We want to deliver quality entertainment and tell good stories, regardless of the medium. However, “Avolation Entertainment” sounded too clunky, and “Avolation Studios” didn’t suit us, so “Avolation Media” became the final name.
